Execution Made Easy

I'm no expert in the practice of execution:

...but exposing his human victim to space has likely done Pildorr's work for him, no?

I remember reading a story reprinted by Marvel UK where the hero mysteriously survives the vacuum of space without a space-suit or helmet and it's revealed that he was a robot all along - he dramatically removes his own head from his shoulders in the final panel as proof of his robotness. Could this be the very same story ???

Right you are, Colin! "I Was a Decoy for Pildorr the Plunderer from Outer Space!", by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Joe Sinnott. Oddly enough, the story's splash page has "John Brett" dressed in a full spacesuit, complete with helmet--but I'm going to assume they shifted to your version as the story developed. Excellent recall!

I'm assuming that "Save Me from the WEED!" was not a drug-themed story? ;-)
