Rogues galleries seem to have gone the way of the dinosaur--but have a look at this unexpected collection from the 14th Fantastic Four annual, courtesy of artists Keith Pollard and Pablo Marcos!
Aside from the Frightful Four, a few questionable choices this time around as far as the words "famous" or "foe" apply. Attuma, for instance, was never confronted directly by the FF in their one encounter--they only kept his men busy while the Sub-Mariner fought him hand-to-hand, and all without Namor being aware of it. And the identity of the Invincible Man is always changing, depending on the twist the writer wants to add to the story. As for Quasimodo, he may be getting a spot here only because his first direct fight with the FF happened the same year this annual was published.
Gosh, if I had to wrack my brain, I'd probably have suggested:
- Galactus
- Thundra
- Over-Mind
- Janus
- Annihilus

Nice post, and even better quesrtion. I miss those old villain profiles too at the back of annuals.
FF#357 had some good ones of the Molecule Man by a young Ron Garney, Mignola's Annihilus and Blaastar, Doom, and King Rama Tut(Kang).
Who ever cut out those old pin-ups and put them on their bedroom wall...no not me either. They were adequately drawn but not good enough.
Incidentally. ..Pablo Marcos...he used to draw the end papers for the Britain Marvel comics in the late 70s. His style was so awkward that it looked out of place with the strips he waa supposed to copy.
Dale, excellent suggestion of Blastaar, and of course Annihilus. I think Rama Tut was in one of the original rogues lineups, but Kang should certainly have a place in the Avengers' gallery. (Assuming one ever gets created!)
karl, Marcos turned in decent enough work, IMO. I can't say I'm his #1 fan, but I did like his work on the Graviton story in Avengers as well as the Vision/Wonder Man dustup.
