Since we're starting to count down to December 25, how about revisiting some of those memorable Marvel moments where our heroes (and, on occasion, villains) celebrated Christmas?
We might as well start with Marvel's "first family," where Reed seems to interpret the phrase "the gift that keeps on giving" quite literally, to Sue's dismay:
Well, Reed, there's one little flaw in your justification: where do you think all that wrapping paper came from that you happily tore apart in getting to your presents?
Welp, what Reed has there sure beats the horrible fake monstrosity we hadda drag outta the attic every December.
ReplyDeleteMy father would have appreciated it, but then he was slow to grasp new technology.
He apparently only discovered the existence of riding lawnmowers and snow-blowers after I left home. THEN he got automated.
I always loved this scene. And I sympathize with Reed, here.
ReplyDeleteSue's such an ungrateful c***. Sometimes whatever Reed does is never good enough - he only uses his intelligence and scientist skill to make Xmas a little EASIER and gets f****D off for it.
ReplyDeleteI've always disliked her. now when the writers make her a mary sue and make the big guys job against her when We've seen them take down much more bigger threats with much better force fields and other powers, you just hate her more, because she is hyped on the jobbing other guys do, and you know precisely that if they want ot win there's nothing she can do about it ever.
