This was one of my fa...An underrated series by far. This was one of my favorite comics as a kid. I was drawn by the art, but sat puzzling for many hours over the timeless themes in this mag. Greek tragedy, Greek mythology, Shakespearean speeches. <br /> A giant space god with the formula for planetary destruction printed on his thumb? An undersea city populated by a race of genetic "Deviants" with a Roman-style arena where "rejects" face off for survival? A doomed love affair between the Devil (Kro) and Athena (Thena)? Ikaris vs. the cosmic-powered Hulk? (one of the coolest fight scenes I've seen in comics). Just another day at work for Kirby.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
